Terms of Use
Last updated:
Short, plain terms for using the Life in the UK Test app and this website.
What this app is
Life in the UK Test is a practice app. It contains 930 questions written from the publicly published handbook Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents (3rd edition), and a mock exam that copies the format of the official test.
No guarantee of passing
We cannot promise that using this app will make you pass. The official test is set by the Home Office, its questions are not published, and the outcome depends on your own preparation on the day. Scores and readiness figures in the app are estimates based on your practice, not predictions of your result.
Not legal or immigration advice
Nothing in this app or on this website is legal advice or immigration advice. We are not immigration advisers. For advice about your application, your eligibility, or your circumstances, speak to a regulated immigration adviser or a solicitor. Always check the official government guidance for current fees, booking rules and requirements.
Not a government service
This app is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the UK Government or the Home Office. Booking and sitting the official test is done through the official service only. We cannot book the test for you, change a booking, or influence a result.
Using the app
- The app is free and supported by advertising. There are no in-app purchases.
- You may use it for your own study. Do not copy, resell or redistribute the question bank.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer the app or interfere with its advertising.
- Your study data is stored on your device. Deleting the app deletes it.
Accuracy
We check the questions against the handbook and correct mistakes when they are reported. If you find an error, email us and we will review it. Content may change as the handbook or the official test changes.
Liability
The app is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for test fees, travel costs, lost time, or any other loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
